Ladies or medical people?

Any advice for getting rid of retained water? My eyes are puffy and feet a bit too.
Answer:
Knowing your age would be helpful and also whether your problem was cyclic or constant. Unfortunately it would also be useful to know your weight.

It is quite common for women to retain water pre-period, which settles afterwards, a mild over the counter diuretic like aquaban might help this.

If the fluid retention is constant it would be sensible to get a check up as kidney or heart problems can also cause it.

Last but not least, the single commonest cause of fluid retention in women is I am afraid being overweight.
Sounds like you need a diuretic. See your GP or ask your pharmacist
I know this is going to sound weird. But if you are retaining water, it means you are not getting enough water in your system. You need to drink more water!
Use a sweat suit that you can buy from Argos.
drink water and walk around the block a few times. dont eat alot of salt and stay away from soda( espec. diet soda)
They sell over-the-counter diuretics so ask your pharmacist which one would be good to take. Drink lots of water while taking the diuretic to flush your system out.
the herbal tablets from holland and barret are really good but cut back on salt, and plenty of exercise will shift any excess water. hope that helps!
i would recommend taking horse chestnut tablets, they have been proved to significantly reduce inflammation of the arteries/ capilleries and increase circulation, and can also reduce odema (water retention) in the body,. You have to increase your water intake to actually reduce the retention, as your body tends to hold water when deyhdrated. I swear by these as i get water retention at the time of the month and they have helped alot.
Fresh broccoli
For a short term fix you can try drinking cranberry juice, it is a natural diuretic. Or you can go by Diurex it is an over the counter pill that also helps. If you retain water regularly it could be a hormone imbalance. You should see your doctor, or even an endocronologist. Good luck..
hi,theres not really a lot you can do,except take diuretics, but these can give you a crampy feeling in the abdomen and youll be peeing constantly, when you go to bed raise your head and your feet slightly, try it,it really works, good luck.
